Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant celebrates successful Jobs Fair and Meet the Buyer events

In November, the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) Contractor for the LSEP development, CNIM, hosted a series of events designed to engage with local job seekers and suppliers interested in engaging in the construction phase of the facility’s development.

The event series started with a Jobs Fair on Wednesday 17th November. During which, members from the local community were invited to drop in and meet with the project’s principal contractors and subcontractors, to discuss potential employment opportunities that were available over the course of the construction programme.

The event also provided the opportunity for local skills, employment and education organisations to exhibit, and CNIM would like to thank CITB, Warrington and Vale Royal College, Journey First, New Leaf and the National Careers Service for their support in exhibiting at the event.

On Thursday 18th November, CNIM hosted a Meet the Buyer event. This day-long session provided local suppliers with the opportunity to meet the procurement teams of CNIM and their subcontractors, Peers and Cidon. CITB were also present during the Meet the Buyer event, to provide insight in to the training, skills and development opportunities that they offer.

The event was a great success, with many organisations from the local region attending throughout the day.

CNIM would like to thank everyone who attended over the two days, and urge those that weren’t able to attend to either submit their CV, or company information, by emailing: info@lostocksep.co.uk.
